Day 01- Mumbai - Cochin
IT 121 Mumbai 1115 Hrs
Cochin 1300 Hrs
Catch flight from Mumbai to Cochin, a port city on the west coast, is called the Queen of the
Arabian Sea. The commercial capital of Kerala, it has one of the best harbours. From time
immemorial, it has been a centre of international trade. Because of its commercial
importance, foreign powers vied for supremacy in the area and therefore the place has a
blend of several exotic cultures like the Portuguese, Jewish, English, French, Dutch and
Chinese. On arrival check into
your hotel.
The rest
of the day is free for you to explore Cochin on your own and go shopping for spices,
handicrafts and antiques. There is lot to see and do in Cochin. Among
Kochi's best buy are metalware, camel-bone carvings, wood carvings, articles made
of coconut shels, baboo cane, embroidered screwpine mats, grass mats and several
other types of handicrafts. Kochi also has several antique dealers.
Jewellery, readymade garments, and ethnic hand-woven textiles follow closely. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 02- Cochin - Munnar
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Munnar
popularly known as the queen of the hills. Remember to carry a pair of
warm clothing as weather is very chill in Munnar. The journey time of 5 hours from Cochin
to Munnar take you through a number of cardamam, rubber and tea
plantations. Munnar is at a height of 4420 feet above sea level and is situated
at the confluence of three mountain streams. The place abounds in green forests
and tea estates. You will check-in into hotel. Afternoon, you can go for
local sight seeing and enjoy the solubrious climate among the misty mountains
and green valleys. The weather will be very chill in the evening.

Day 03 - Munnar
To spend at leisure exploring the wonderful countryside.You have a car at your
disposal. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 04 - Munnar - Thekkady
(Periyar)
Drive approx 100 kms to Thekkady and check-in at hotel Aranya Niwas or similar
situated on the banks of Periyar lake in the heart of the wildlife sanctuary. Overnight at
hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 04 - Thekkady
Enjoy a morning boat ride for elephant tracking and bird watching. One can also
indulge in wildlife photography over here. The visit to the Periyar National Park lasts
for about three hours. Return back to the resort for having breakfast & lunch. You can
also opt for taking up a forest trail and explore the Periyar park surroundings or
bird-watch. Afternoon, you will go for boating in the
Periyar lake. From your motor boat, you can watch wild elephants, wild
boars, bisons and dears. Overnight at resort. (Breakfast)
Day 05 - Thekkady - Kumarakom
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Kumarakom which
is a lovely village located on the banks of beautiful Vembanad lake, it lies in the
Kuttanad region of Kerala. This place is bless by nature, with its untouched beauty and
amazingly attractive backwaters, it attracts many tourists every year. The village of
Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the Vembanad Lake, and is part of the Kuttanad
region. The bird sanctuary in Kumarakom is spread across 14 acres is a favourite haunt of
migratory birds and an ornithologist's paradise. Egrets, darters, herons, teal, waterfowl,
cuckoo, wild duck and migratory birds like the Siberian stork that live in flocks, in
Kumarakom, are a fascination for visitors. On arrival check-in into hotel. Rest of the day
free to relax at your hotel. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 07- Kumarakom - Kovalam
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and drive to Kovalam which is one of the loveliest
beaches in the world. After arrival you will
check-in into Beach Resort.The rest of of the day is free for you to
explore Kovalam beach on your own. You can also take a walk along the rustic countryside.
Photograph your family with the back ground of beach and waves. Watch sun
set in the Arabian sea. Overnight at hotel. (Breakfast)
Day 08 - Kovalam -
Ponmudi - Pandmanabhapuram - Kanyakumari - Kovalam
Early morning we take you to full day excursions to nearby
places. First of all drive to Aruvikkara water falls. You will then drive
to PONMUDI a beautiful Hill station decked with stone
cottage. You will be struck with natural scenery and the cool climate. Those who are
intersted in hiking can attempt the high trails. Later on continue drive to PADMANABHAPURAM
to see the beautiful Palace of the erstwhile kings of Travancore. From
here you will reach KANYAKUMARI, India's lands end which is a confluence
of three oceans, well in time to see the sun setting into the sea. Leave Kanyakumari by
dusk and back to Kovalam. Overnight at resort. (Breakfast)
Day 09- Kovalam - Trivandrum -
Mumbai (Departure)

1535 Hrs
After breakfast check-out from the hotel and in time transfer to Trivandrum
Airport to catch JET AIRWAYS flight to Mumbai. On arrival you will be met by our
representative, holding a play card with your name on it in the arrival lounge.
Departure transfer to International airport to catch flight back to home. (Breakfast) |
